Senco doesn't stand behind their products.
n
I use this gun quite frequently during the spring/summer/fall months for installing trim, as I'm part owner of a window installation company. The gun is handy, and when it works, it's a great tool to have. However, I own 2 of these and both have been sent off under warranty to be repaired MANY times. One was just sent off last week.. a few months prior it stopped firing, I sent it off and they installed 'new upgraded parts to fix a known problem'. Well, it obviously didn't fix the problem, as the gun doesn't fire again -- nothing is jammed, it just makes this tiny/short/quiet "squeak" sound, just as it did the time before that. $250 to repair it since their "upgrades" didnt change or extend the original warranty. 7 days later, other one did the same exact thing. The newer of the two was sent off to get fixed within the first week of buying it also. That one is at least under warranty still, but I'm DONE with Senco products. Time to try the Dewalt I suppose.
n

A revision of the AF41- Beware of Senco's support of these 'Pro' tools..
n
1. I don't own this model, but the previous AF41, but I think this applies as this is, according to Senco's tech, the same body with an evolved mechanism.n
2. Senco markets them as 'pro' tools, but my experience with Senco is that since my unit was out of warranty, albeit lightly used, and even though it has a design inadequacy that causes these units to be useless, they told me to get it repaired for $150 or buy this new unit. OK, fine, use me, while I'm building a custom guardrail to be your test dummy....But STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT then!n
3. Will they cover you when v2. has some flaw?
n
