I just got a GPS unit and realized that it permanently takes up the car power socket – well no longer. This splitter give me 2 power sockets and even provides a Standard USB charging port for my PDA & iPod. Very cool and practical. The plug tip swivels so it fits nicely into the slightly disfuctional location Honda put the socket in my car.
I recommend this product because it works well for me and i have lots of gadgets in my car: Phone, PDa, Ipod and GPS — well worth the cost!
This 12-volt splitter was awkward – got in the way of my dash controls. And, most importantly, the connection was intermittent causing my GPS to cycle on and off continuously! I returned this item!
