Winter can be lovely, except when it lands on your vehicle. Don’t you love leaving work after a long day and discovering that your windshield has a concrete-like, thick coating of ice? It’ll never bother you again, as long as this little number is in your car. We’ve never seen anything clear ice and snow from a windshield like this. Clever engineering, smart ergonomics, and good old innovation combine to make this, hands down, the best scraper we’ve ever used. Calling it a scraper really doesn’t do it justice–the patented Flexiblade actually conforms to the shape of your windshield and windows, and the “Tenderizers” make quick work of crust. This product is the best. Last year, my kids were fighting for the right to remove the ice and snow from my car. This tool just demolishes the ice. And the snow mover (that is another one of their products) is great for pushing the snow off of the hood and roof of my car…. without me getting covered with snow doing it.
I can’t wait for this winter… and I have already stocked up on these for friends and family for Christmas.
It is like a bulldozer. You cant break it. Most ice scrapers are pansy devices. You cant take them and smash ice. This thing is amazing. You can take it and smash it into your windshield and the teeth break the ice. Then use it like a block plane to scrape it off. The blade conforms to the shape of the windshield. There is so much incredible engineering in this thing if you examine it closely. It is like the better mouse trap, only it IS better.
Just like the two reviews above the first time I used this tool I loved it because it just tears trough ice. THe only problem is that the handle is weak. The second time i used it the upper handle snapped, which leaves the scraper useless. I am currently trying to get ahol of the company for a replacement.
I bought this product primarily because of the claims that unlike other products it conforms to the shape of your windshield, thus making for more productive ice removal. Well, don’t believe it. At the low temperatures at which you’ll be using this product, it doesn’t bend much. I found that it doesn’t really do any better than any other ice scraper. The relatively soft plastic is also a detriment. If you want a good ice scraper, go for the harder acrylic type. When scraping ice, the harder the better.
