These clamps from Jet may well be the best on the market today, combining the best features of some of our favorite brands. Infallible 90-degree clamping set-up with 1,000 pounds of pressure takes the worry out of glue-up and gives you reliable, accurate hold every time. We love the Precision-Rule Measurement System on the rails, because you get a fast, exact read on your opening, something all clamps ought to have. Another great feature is the deeper-than-usual throat and wider jaws for more workpiece contact and versatility you won’t get with standard-style jaws. Jet’s come up with a sweet Slide-Glide Trigger that locks the jaw in place, yet with a squeeze of the trigger, moves like a dream. The sliding end stop is convenient, too, in both clamping and spreading applications. Any downsides? Only if you don’t like the substantial weight or the higher-end price, but you definitely get what you pay for. In the surprise department, we expected these burly clamps to take some strength to manipulate, but just the opposite: They’re ergonomically perfect, engineered to make the mechanism do the work for you. Jet calls this large, soft-grip handle the SUMOGRIP, and we sure do like it because you don’t have to be as strong as a sumo to put these clamps to work for you.–Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Excellent bar clamps. As good or better than the Bessey K-body. I like the Ergonomics of the JET over the Bessey. That NICE!
I have had the clamps for approximately 1 month and they work very well. I like the lever that releases the clamp. Instead of just falling down the clamp length (and smashing my hand), one can adjust it quickly and efficiently. The graduation on the sides are very helpful, one doesn’t have to guess the opening distance.
Having owned Bessey clamps and liking the clamping surface, the additional surface provided by Jet was surprising. It is heavier but I do like the extra width in the clamp face. I don’t know if I will utilize the bench dogs but I like the idea.
I will be purchasing more in the near future.
In a woodshop, clamps are an essential item. Although they are very useful, and absolutely necessary, it is difficult to spend a lot of money on them. My first clamps were cheap from Harbor Freight, because I wanted to save my money for ‘real’ tools. After using the Jet clamps, I will never buy another brand of parallel clamp. I have used Bessey, and those new Irwin parallel clamps from Home Depot, and various others. Jet made their bars bigger and stronger, they do not flex at all, and the clamping faces are both thicker and longer than any competing brand. The quick release feature is key for me. It is so much easier to work with.
To summarize: Jet Clamps are the best parallel clamps on the market as far as I can tell. If you are serioius about woodworking like I am, it is definitely worth spending a little extra on better clamps that will be with you for all eternity.
I ordered the Jet Clamp Set from excellent information a nd pictures. The set wss shipped in 4-5 days as was received in excellent condition at the best price I could find on the internet with free shipping.
The product is being used in the manufacture of cabinet doors. I have purchased a number of Jet Clamps in the past but the newer clamps have some valuable new features such as a quick release trigger and numerical demensions of clamps setting in incheswhich helps in optaining equal parralel squarness.

I already had a small collection of the Bessey cabinet clamps, a couple of the Woodcraft clamps made by Bessey, and an assortment of pipe clamps. The Jet clamps beat all other clamps hands down. The clamping surface is physically much larger than the Bessey, the clamps much beefier overall. My Bessey clamps look like cheapie HF knockoffs compared to the Jets. Handles are better, making it easier to get more clamping pressure. Only complaint is that the trigger does not make it easier to slide the clamp – it’s much sticker to slide than a Bessey. The upside is that I’ve never had a finger mashed by the Jet (you’ve got to be careful not to do this with a Bessey, because they slide too easily when you turn the clamps end-up).
I bought the cabinet door set; it’s much better than the Bessey set I bought a couple years earlier. The clamp holders are easier to use and very stable. I’ve put together a few doors using QSWO and did a six-foot long glue-up of some pecan boards, and this set was a pleasure to use. Unless someone comes out with something even better, which I don’t see happening for a while, these are the only clamps I’ll buy from now on.
