This 72 inch shade is not a perfect fit for our window, which measures 72″ x 18″ at the highest point. After having some problems cutting a template, we are now ready to place the template over the opened shade and carefully place marks where we need to use scissors to cut the shade to its proper size. Finally, we will be able to control the sun that shines into the bedroom and keep the room cooler.
Besides saving energy in the summertime by filtering the heat into the bedroom window, it is also helping to darken the room by filtering the light. This is a great solution for those who are looking for that darker rooms for sleeping in late. I say go for it . Great prodcut except for the material is papaer. Not sure how long it will last.
This came very quickly and was so easy to install. Great idea and a great look. Helps shade as well!
Great idea, Great setup with the holder and adhesive on the shade. My only dislike is the measuring system on the blind. First I measured the window and cut the blind exactly to my measurement -1/8 inch for clearance. Once installed I had 3/4″ clearance at the top and 1-1/2″ clearance at the sides letting in light. The moral is, MEASURE THE WINDOW AND THE BLINDS WITH YOUR TAPE TO GET THE FIT YOU DESIRE. THE MEASUREMENT ON THE SHADE IS NOT EXACT, or mine was not. But it looks great and really helps with the Temperature control.
It was hard to find an affordable shade for this type of window. I am very pleased with this window shade. It looks great and filters the light. Bought another size also for other windows.
