I was able to use these two stands that I bought from Amazon for the first time over the weekend. As the other reviewers testified, they are a great buy. I was able to easily set them to the correct height for my table saw. The stands solidly supported the 16′ 2x8s that I was ripping. I found that they were also very adaptable, providing an extension for my miter saw as well. Bringing the cut mark up to the blade was extra smooth with the support of the rollers. The collapsable metal legs are very solid without any play when they are set up. In short, I’m very happy with them. If I could pick out one weakness at all, it would be the plastic adjustment handle. It seems like good quality resin plastic but I could imagine that if you dropped the stand in the colapsed position and the handle was at a right angle to the metal post, it’s possible that it could break, but for the price of these great stands that is nit-picking.

Easy to position, good quality on all parts, rolls well. Minor nit is that the color is yellow, not red as in the primary picture… but who cares!

I have two of these stands. They are well made and are very functional. The base is quite stable. They are very easy to adjust. I use them mostly with a planer. They have made a difference in helping to minimize snipe on longer boards. These stands are a great bargain.

…but way overpriced in my opinion. Jet 709207 28-Inch to 43-Inch Tall Roller Stand with 13-Inch Roller, sold by amazon, is $18 and some change and it’s shipped free. It weighs the same as the Crawford, same height, same extention reach (sans one-half inch on each end). It even has the same clamp handle. n

That being said, a workstand like this is like an extra set of hands. I use mine for all my shop machines. folds flatter than a pancake. I used a permanent marker to mark the height to set it on each machine. All I have to do is extend or lower it to the appropriate line mark and wha-la. It is also a safety factor when using a table saw.

Crawford WM-5 Contractor's Choice Workmover Adjustable 27-1/2-Inch to 43-1/2-Inch Tall Roller Stand has been rated 1 starsdefective stand
    n

I ordered this roller stand on the strength of its positive reviews. The stand I received was defective. Because the bars that it sits on were not parallel, only 3 of its 4 feet contacted the floor, and it rocked. Because these bars are welded to the legs of the stand, the problem is not fixable.
